![]() ![]() So yeah, after the complete trash that Piper and Umma were i'm very happy that these are so much better. Didn't have to push myself to listen through it all either, it kept my interest all throughout. Since it didn't impact me all that much it's hard for me to specify tracks that I thought were the best out of memory, but I can say that I wasn't bored or dissapointed with it. Meddle really feels like they're almost there when it comes to finally defining their own sound, while at the same time incorporating alot of weird and bizarre shit that Floyd always do in their stuff. Meddle wasn't as impressive to me but it's still a really cool album. All 23 minutes of it sounded really good. I didn't love it though, there were still a few tracks that left no impression on me, but I really liked the A side. It doesn't sound like a jumble of ideas thrown together without reason like Piper and Umma did, but instead feels like a fully realized vision of what they wanted to do. ATM was especially good with a much, MUCH more polished sound full of creativity. ![]() I've still yet to listen to Saucerfull of Secrets but I did get a chance to listen to ATM and Meddle and I was very surprised. They just sound like a completely incoherent mess in these records but i'm very glad that they served as the gateway to much greater things. I honestly think they're terrible albums but I do appreciate the fact that they tried whatever to create their own unique sound. ![]() I've listened to Piper and Umma once more after making the thread and my opinion is mostly the same. This thread is the not awaited at all sequel to "Piper at the Gates of Dawn and Ummagumma are garbage, i'm sorry but they are." ![]()
